“Overcoming identified gaps in the protection of children’s personal data in the penitentiary and probation system”

Achievements:

Amendments were made to the new law “About special penitentiary service” making obligatory training of juvenile prison staff members;
Special training module was created. All employees, who will work with juveniles, will be trained according this module;
100 penitentiary system personnel were trained according the new training module;
Special regulation were written in the new juvenile justice code, that regulated keeping, exchanging and destroying of juveniles personal data;
Ministry of corrections received an order N180 regulating keeping and destroying of juveniles’ personal data in the penitentiary system, as well as persons entitled to have access to this data and procedures of sharing the information.
