Project – Institutional strengthening of state agencies involved in the process of identification, referral and response of unaccompanied and separated refugee children.

Budget – 56 825 GEL.
Goal – The goal of the project was to study the legal status of refugee unaccompanied and separated refugee children, which is related to the issues of children crossing the border, their identification, the granting of asylum status and the provision of relevant services in the state care system.
Outcomes – Detailed analyses of international standards, local legislation and practice of the system dealing with unaccompanied and separated refugee children in Georgia (this will include justice proceedings as well as childcare system and regulations); Preparing a concept. The mentioned concept was provided to relevant agencies (Ministry of Internal Affairs; State Care Agency).
