On November 20, “Prevention for Progress (PFP)” and “Civil Engagement and Activism Center (CEAC)” organized a training on Karl Popper format debates with young people selected within the framework of the public debate competition at the Center for Democratic Engagement in the city of Marneuli. The training covered such issues as: study of debate rules and techniques, public speaking techniques and practical exercise, practical exercise in debate.
Next week, a public debate will be held with the participation of selected youth. Debating groups will be evaluated by the commission according to predetermined criteria. The four winners will receive a Byblus voucher (equivalent to £100 in GEL).
The project – “Youth of Marneuli for Change” is implemented by “Prevention for Progress (PFP)” together with “Civil Engagement and Activism Center (CEAC)”, with the financial support of “Institute for War and Peace Reporting (IWPR)”, the project – “Strengthening resilience in the Eastern Neighborhood” (BREN)” framework.
